The annual Weston Christmas Light display has this year raised £25,450 for the Donna Louise Hospice.
This years display was markedly different from previous years due to the Coronavirus pandemic, where those who attended viewed the lights from the comfort of their because of the social distancing restriction.
Graham Witter who runs the annual event said:
I am delighted to announce our award-winning light display has raised a phenomenal £25,450.00 for the Donna Louise.
This is truly remarkable, so a huge thank-you to all my community friends, visitors, volunteers and sponsors who joined the #FestiveFun in December and have helped me achieve this incredible fundraising milestone.
It means since 2013, our fundraiser has now raised a whopping £150,300.00 for children and young people.
Our #2020 total will be used to fund the music therapist for 24 months and some new musical equipment in the hospice.
The display has been running since 2013 in recognition of the Donna Louise where Graham’s sister received respite care.
