First tenants confirmed for new Market Hall revamp

The Market Hall has confirmed its first tenants as work on the £3million redevelopment approaches completion.

The renovated building is set to reopen this coming spring after it closed in 2018.

Mini Beans Coffee and The Crewe Dog were confirmed as tenants today in a post on the Market Hall’s Facebook page, the post read:

We’re so pleased Mini Beans Coffee are on their way to our Market Hall.

A family business, loving coffee. Celebrating coffee beans, brewing methods and a range of handmade products. Every venue needs top quality coffee and we’ve certainly got that.

Mini Beans Coffee is owned and run by Cheshire based Steve and Maria Daniels who sell a range of speciality coffee and coffee products.

The Crewe Dog which will be run by the founder of the Salty Dog in Northwich, Chris Mundie.

We are extremely excited to announce that The Salty Dog is bringing its very own version to Crewe in the form of The Crewe Dog.

Taking occupancy of our bar within the Market Hall, The Crewe Dog will be bringing craft beers as well as extensive experience in running bars and entertainment venues.

The Northwich venue has seen the likes of Glen Matlock of The Sex Pistols, Earl Slick (David Bowie’s guitarist), Paddy Considine, Mark Radcliffe and Ed Tudor Pole to name a few visit the venue and will be hoping to replicate that success in Crewe.

Speaking to Crewe News, Mr Mundie said:

When I heard that there was a development going on that was looking to among other things, bring back live music to Crewe I took note and when I heard they were looking for a bar operator I jumped at the chance.

Although we won’t be directly responsible for the entertainment, the early discussions we’ve had suggest that there will be plenty of space to work together, both with the market and with the other businesses operating there and we are all hoping to help create something truly unique.

Mr Mundie grew up in Winsford but was a regular visitor to The Limelight in Crewe where he played in several bands.

The venue will see craft beer at the heart of the business offering customers the opportunity to consume a variety of products on and off the premises.
