Councillor questions existence of COVID-19

Councillor Brian Silvester

Parish councillor Brian Silvester yesterday (January 1st) questioned if the COVID-19 virus really existed.

In the tweet shown below, Mr Silvester made the claim in response to a tweet.

In a later tweet, Mr Silvester appears to contradict himself when he suggests a cure for the virus have been banned so that COVID-19 could be used to control the population. The tweet also suggests that people have been allowed to die unnecessarily from the virus.

This is not the first time Mr Silvester has caused controversy with comments regarding the Coronavirus.

Back in September 2020, the controversial councillor claimed the pandemic was part of a plot to harvest human DNA.

Mr Silvester is a candidate in this years Crewe West by-election and has received criticism from his Labour opponent for remarks he made previously advising people against taking the Coronavirus vaccine.
